Chris Berube is a multimedia journalist. He is a radio reporter at CBC Radio One, where he covers Northern Ontario. His work has been featured on national CBC shows including World Report, As It Happens and Definitely Not the Opera. Chris contributes regularly to publications including The New York Times and The Globe and Mail, where he was recently named as a book critic. He is also the host and producer of the Walrus Magazine podcast.
Last fall, Chris worked at the NPR science and storytelling program Radiolab and the APM business radio show Marketplace. In 2012, Chris graduated from Columbia University's journalism school, with an MA specializing in arts and culture reporting. He recieved a Pulitzer Fellowship, and honors for his radio documentary work.
As a writer, Chris has contributed to The Grid newsweekly, The Daily Beast, Hazlitt Magazine, and CBC Music. Chris has also worked on the radio show Bullseye with Jesse Thorn (NPR) and is a producer of the Low Times podcast with Tom Scharpling.
